We welcome all applicants of any age and educational level with a willingness and ability to do physical work. We also accept couples. We are a small operation and get our hands in the dirt, using few machines. We use traditional Native American planting and harvesting methods in all of our gardens, greenhouses, and herb growing.
Requirements: Minimum time commitment: 3 weeks; maximum: 8 weeks.
Work: 20-25 hours per week; work includes organic greenhouse propagation, organic herb growing, retail display gardens, herbal medicine harvesting and drying, making herbal medicines, and may also include working herb shows.
Compensation: Free housing; fresh organic produce in season; free attendance to any ongoing herbal medicine workshops on site; an opportunity to learn traditional herbal medicine from an accomplished herbal practitioner and Indian medicine woman; and a letter of recommendation for your school and/or potential employer.
